Kiltimagh GAA Club is at the heart of community and sporting life in the town and currently works with over 200 children, while maintaining two teams with a combined panel of 45. In addition, the club boasts about 100 non playing members whose volunteer work for the club is immeasurable.
The club is now about to embark on an exciting re-development plan which will make the club ground and facilities one of the best in County Mayo. This will involve increasing capacity for more training facilities with additional training pitches along with draining and re-surfacing the main pitch. There are also plans improve facilities in the existing clubhouse along with the construction of a 250 seater stand.
This is a major undertaking by this rural club, but one that will make a huge difference to the local community and will involve extensive fundraising to supplement any grants from Croke Park. The club is now reaching out to the greater Kiltimagh family around the world to support the initiative.
