Cancer Fund for Children is an all-Ireland charity providing therapeutic short breaks to children throughout Ireland diagnosed with cancer and their families at our Daisy Lodge, in Newcastle, Co. Down. Daisy Lodge is a nurturing and restorative space that is purpose-built to support families at the most vulnerable, difficult, and exhausting time in their lives. It is a wonderful haven of peace and tranquillity where families receive the right level of support to relax, connect, and meet other families living through a childhood cancer.
The demand for our short breaks is ever increasing and the sad reality is that for every one family we offer a short break to there are another seven we cannot. Therefore, we have launched a Capital Appeal to raise €12.5m to build a much needed second Daisy Lodge in the stunning surroundings of Cong, Co Mayo. Our new site is currently a field of dreams and with the wonderful support from Rory McIlroy we have purchased the site, have full planning permission and completed design stage.
We have a number of naming opportunities
